Convert Images Between JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC

Free online image converter: turn photos and pictures into JPG, PNG or WebP. Convert a whole batch right in your browser — no upload to a server, no watermark and no limits.

What This Image Converter Can Do

  • All the common formats — JPG, PNG and WebP in any direction, plus HEIC photos straight from an iPhone
  • A whole batch at once — drop in ten or a hundred files — there is no limit, because your own device does the work
  • Quality you control — pick the JPEG quality yourself and watch the size change on the result card
  • Nothing leaves your device — no upload, no queue, no waiting — and no watermark on the result

How to Convert an Image

  1. Add your pictures — click the drop zone or drag the files straight in.
  2. Or pick a picture you generated on Homiwork — your image archive is one click away.
  3. Choose the output format (JPG, PNG or WebP) and the quality.
  4. Press “Convert images” — every file appears as a card with its new size, ready to download.

Why Convert an Image Format at All

Formats are not interchangeable, and that is exactly why converters exist. JPG is the universal currency of photography: it opens everywhere, uploads to every form and stays small, but it loses a little detail every time it is saved and cannot hold transparency. PNG keeps every pixel exactly as it was and supports transparent backgrounds, which makes it the right choice for logos, screenshots and diagrams — at the cost of a much larger file. WebP is the modern compromise, noticeably lighter than JPG at the same visual quality, but older programs and some printing services still refuse to open it. HEIC is what an iPhone saves by default, and it is efficient and almost unreadable on Windows and Android. Converting is simply moving a picture into the format the next step of your work actually accepts. Because everything here happens in the browser, the picture never travels anywhere: the file is decoded, redrawn at the settings you chose and handed straight back to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it really free?

Yes — with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process at once. Converting costs us nothing because your browser does the work, so there is nothing to charge for.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs inside your browser: the file is read, converted and downloaded on your own device, and never leaves it. That also means there are no queues, no daily limits and no waiting for an upload.

Which formats are supported?

Input: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, HEIF, GIF and BMP. Output: JPG, PNG or WebP. HEIC is decoded right in the browser, so iPhone photos work without any extra software.

Why did my file get bigger after converting?

That is normal when you convert from a modern format to an older one. HEIC and WebP compress much better than JPEG, so the same picture saved as JPG can grow by half or more. Nothing is broken — it is the price of a format that opens everywhere.

Does converting reduce quality?

Converting to PNG is lossless. Converting to JPG or WebP re-encodes the picture, so pick a higher quality if the image matters — at 90% the difference is invisible to the eye.
